ABOUT THE DISTINGUISHED AUTHORS CRAIG TRIANCE wrote chapters 1 through 18, addressing Federal and state non-bankruptcy remedies for homeowners whose homes are in foreclosure. He is a new author with King Bankruptcy Practice Series. Mr. Triance graduated from California Polytechnic Universtiy (Pomona CA) and earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School (Los Angeles, CA). He commenced practice in 1992 and focused on real estate law, loan modification, real estate broker services, consumer bankruptcy, and foreclosure litigation. Craig was one of the first attorneys in California to attempt loan modification, and eventually worked on approximately several hundred modification matters. After a 16 year real estate and legal career, he chose to move in a different direction and now devotes his time to writing and marketing. He resides in California with his wife and children. He is the author, with David Coleman, of "42 Rules for Saving Your Home". RICHARD E. WEST wrote the lengthy section in using Chapter 13 bankruptcy as a foreclosure defense. He is also our co-author of West & Allmand Handling & Avoiding Liens. Mr. West is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, United States Court of Federal Claims, Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the Ohio Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Law Forum, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Dayton Bar Association. Richard is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy topics and has delivered lectures for all three of the major seminar companies, as well as for the Ohio State Bar Association. He graduated from Franklin High School and served in the United States Navy. After military service, he was employed by NCR as a computer engineer. He completed his undergraduate degree at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, and he earned his law degree from Temple University in 1986.
